I had a delectable treat last night -- Lagavulin 16 year Scotch whisky and Penn Cove oysters. The smoky, iodine flavors of the Lagavulin were perfect with the rich, salty, sweet oysters.

Lara, I had this yummy snack at Matt's Rotisserie and Oyster Lounge at Redmond Town Center. It's a pretty good place with a fine oyster list and a better than reasonable scotch menu, close to Microsoft.
Jane, I love Oban. As you say, it's a sweet, light scotch. I'd love to try it with oysters. It would be very different from the Lagavulin
